Merilda Turcotte

Biography

Merilda F. “Charlotte” Turcotte, 83, of Wallingford, died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Turcotte.

She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of the late Joseph and Maude Bell Plourde and had been employed by Masonicare Health Center for 21 years until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

She is survived by her brother, Roger Plourde; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Blanche Cyr, Gladys St. Pierre, Rowine Bosse, Laurette Gagnon, Marthe Plourde and Lucie Verville; and her brothers, Gerald Plourde and Meril Plourde.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford, Wednesday, July 14, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
