Life Legacy
Francis “Frank” J. Fallon Sr., 82, beloved husband of the late Marion Hoffman Fallon of Fritz Place, Yalesville section of Wallingford, and a summer resident of West Yarmouth, MA, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
He was born in Pawtucket, RI, February 26, 1927, a son of the late Francis and Catherine Clifford Fallon, and was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Francis had been employed by the Southern New England Telephone Company for 40 years until his retirement in 1989 and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yalesville.
He is survived by his two sons. Francis J. "Bud" Fallon, Jr. of Meriden and Timothy P. Fallon of Naples, FL; his granddaughter, Sara K. Fallon; his brother, Robert Fallon of Seekonk, MA; his sister-in-law, Jane Berry of Yalesville; his brother-in-law, Francis T. Hoffman of Wallingford; and several nieces and nephews including, Kathy Berry Prentice of Wallingford, Paula Berry Zeller of Florida and Kerry Ann Fallon Snyder of Massachusetts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Tuesday, February 9, in Our Lady of Fatima Church, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. Arrangements are under the direction of The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main Street, Yalesville, CT.
