Biography

Helen Stegos Paluconis, 90, of North Farms Road, Wallingford, died, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond G. Paluconis.

Helen was born in New Haven, October 18, 1919, a daughter of the late Charles Stegos and Beatrice Gregor Stegos and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. She was employed by the Unimax Corporation until her retirement and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews including Rose Ann Parish (Mrs. Richard) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Charles S. Stegos and his wife Gail M., Walter J. “Butch” Marunda and his wife Jeanne and Linda S. Binnix and her husband Bruce N., all of Wallingford; many grandnieces; grandnephews; great-grandnieces; and great-grandnephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister Mary A. Marunda; and her brother Stanley W. Stegos.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Monday, February 8, 2010 from 10:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to Most Holy Trinity Church, 68 North Colony St., Wallingford, CT. 06492.
